Refund Policy
This Refund Policy applies to all web design, web development, e-commerce (WordPress, Magento, custom web solutions), and maintenance services (“Services”) provided by Magexweb (“we,” “us,” “our”) to clients (“you,” “Client”). By engaging our Services, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. General Policy
Because our Services involve custom, labor-intensive work — including design, development, configuration, and project management time — refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis depending on the stage of the project and the nature of the request. This policy is intended to be fair to both clients and our team.
2. Deposits and Advance Payments
- Projects typically require an upfront deposit (commonly 30–50% of the total project cost, as specified in your project proposal or invoice) before work begins.
- Deposits are non-refundable once work has commenced, as they cover initial planning, resource allocation, and design/development time.
- If you cancel before any work has started (i.e., before we begin design, development, or planning activities), you may be eligible for a full or partial refund of the deposit, minus any administrative or consultation costs already incurred.
3. Refunds During an Active Project
3.1 Cancellation After Work Has Begun
If you cancel a project after work has started, you will be billed for:
- All hours worked or milestones completed up to the cancellation date
- Any third-party costs already incurred on your behalf (e.g., licenses, plugins, hosting, domain registrations, stock assets)
Any remaining balance from payments already made, after deducting the above, may be refunded at our discretion.
3.2 Milestone-Based Projects
For projects billed in milestones (e.g., design phase, development phase, testing phase), payments for completed and approved milestones are non-refundable. Refunds may only apply to milestones that have not yet been started.
3.3 Dissatisfaction With Work Delivered
If you are unsatisfied with delivered work:
- We will first attempt to resolve the issue through revisions, in line with the revision terms agreed upon in your project proposal or contract.
- If we are unable to meet agreed-upon specifications after a reasonable number of revision attempts, a partial refund may be considered for the specific deliverable in question, at our discretion.
- We do not offer refunds simply due to a change of mind, personal preference, or requirements that were not part of the original agreed scope of work.
4. Completed Projects
Once a project is completed, delivered, and formally approved or accepted by the Client (including sign-off via email or written confirmation), it is considered final, and no refunds will be issued, except where required by applicable law.
5. Hosting, Domains, and Third-Party Services
Fees paid to third parties on your behalf — such as domain registration, hosting, SSL certificates, premium themes, plugins, or licenses — are non-refundable, as these are typically non-recoverable costs charged by external providers.
6. Extensions and Plugins — 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on our pre-built extensions and plugins (e.g., WordPress and Magento extensions/plugins sold via our Site).
- If you are not satisfied with a purchased extension or plugin, you may request a full refund within 30 calendar days of the original purchase date.
- To be eligible, please contact us with your order/purchase reference number and a brief description of the issue. We may ask you to describe the problem or allow our team a reasonable opportunity to help resolve it before processing the refund.
- Refunds under this guarantee apply to the cost of the extension/plugin license itself and do not cover any related installation, customization, or support services purchased separately, unless those services were not delivered.
- This guarantee does not apply to:
- Requests made after the 30-day period has expired
- Extensions/plugins that have been misused, modified, or used in violation of the applicable license terms
- Issues arising from incompatibility with third-party themes, extensions, or custom code not disclosed to us prior to purchase
- Marketplace purchases (e.g., via Adobe Commerce Marketplace or similar platforms), which are subject to that marketplace’s own refund policy
- Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 10–15 business days, and your license/access to the extension or plugin will be deactivated upon refund.
7. Maintenance and Support Plans
- Monthly or recurring maintenance/support plans are billed in advance and are non-refundable for the current billing period once service has started.
- You may cancel future billing cycles at any time by providing written notice; cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period.
8. Non-Refundable Circumstances
Refunds will not be issued in the following situations:
- Delays caused by the Client’s failure to provide timely feedback, content, assets, or approvals
- Change of business direction, budget, or personal preference after work has begun
- Requests for work outside the originally agreed scope (these are treated as change requests, not grounds for refund)
- Projects cancelled after final delivery and Client sign-off
- Custom development, coding, or design work already completed
9. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please contact us with:
- Your name and project/invoice reference number
- The reason for your refund request
- Any relevant supporting details (e.g., correspondence, project scope documents)
We will review your request and respond within 7–10 business days. Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 10–15 business days thereafter, unless otherwise agreed.
10. Disputes
If you disagree with a refund decision, you may escalate the matter by contacting us directly to discuss further. We aim to resolve all disputes amicably and in good faith before pursuing any other remedies.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. The policy in effect at the time you engage our Services will apply to that project unless otherwise agreed in writing.
