This Cookie Policy explains how Magexweb uses cookies and similar technologies (such as your browser’s local storage) on magexweb.com. Read it together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They let the site remember things between pages, such as what is in your cart or whether you are signed in.
2. Your choice
When you first visit the site we ask for your consent:
- Necessary only — we use only the cookies the site needs to work.
- Accept all — you also allow optional cookies, such as analytics, if we use them.
You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. We remember your choice for one year.
3. Necessary cookies
These cookies are needed for the site to work and are always on. They keep your session, your cart and your account working, protect forms against cross-site request forgery, and show messages after an action.
- PHPSESSID — keeps your session (cart, sign-in and checkout) while you browse.
- form_key — protects forms against cross-site request forgery.
- mage-cache-sessid, mage-cache-storage, mage-cache-storage-section-invalidation, section_data_ids, private_content_version — keep your cart and account details up to date on cached pages.
- X-Magento-Vary — makes sure cached pages match your session.
- mage-messages — shows messages such as “Added to cart”; cleared once shown.
- user_allowed_save_cookie, mw_cookie_choice — remember your cookie choice.
Most of these expire when you close your browser or after an hour without activity. Your cookie choice is kept for one year, and private_content_version for longer so cached pages stay correct.
4. Spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA)
Our contact, quote, enquiry, comment, account and checkout forms use Google reCAPTCHA to stop spam and abuse. It loads only when you use one of those forms, and Google may set its own cookies when it does. This is necessary for the security of the forms. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
5. Payments
When you pay for an order you are passed to the payment provider you choose (Razorpay or PayPal). The provider may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.
6. Optional cookies
We do not currently use analytics, advertising or social media tracking cookies. If we add them, they will only be used after you choose “Accept all”, and we will list them here.
7. Managing cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block necessary cookies, parts of the site such as the cart, checkout and sign-in will not work.
